Projects: Patio, side path and recycling of paving. Excellent service from start to finish. I have worked with may professional tradesmen in the past, but non quite like John Cumber. He is truly a craftsman in his field who takes meticulous care at every stage of the project. Every aspect of his work is approached and carried out as if it were for himself with quality and not time being the key ingredient. He takes an enormous amount of pride in what he does which is very comforting when it’s something so important to yourself and your property. He has a pleasant character and noticeable respect for your wishes and will go to great lengths to ensure you are as proud as he is of the end result. On his first visit he will attend armed with everything you need to assist with your choice and he will happily arrange samples as and when required. Once the project has started he will happily beaver away without disturbing you, but will always keep you informed, tea breaks being a good chance to get an update. John is a very tidy worker who always leaves the site each day clean, neat, tidy and can be trusted to leave things secure in your absence. With regard to pricing, what’s quoted is what’s expected when the project is completed, no hidden or out of the blue additional costs, a sign of a skilled craftsmen. Overall all the installations are of a high quality and fitted to a professional standard and I’d have no problem in recommending him to friends and family and will certainly use him again for future work without hesitation.

From the moment that John came around to discuss my new patio I knew that he was the man for the job. He was the only one that took the time to talk through all my options and show photos of the work he had carried out and on top of this also offered references and gave me real contacts to call. I trust John 100% he completed my patio with the up most skill and care, keeping me informed of the days events as the week progressed. I am happy to recommend John and will use him again in the future should the need arise.

Old, heavy, slab paving was replaced with modern paving, complete with block surrounds and planter walls on the periphery. In addition, a new, large, solid paving base was put down to support a greenhouse/shed. This job was reasonably complex and certain design aspects had to be dealt with in real time. John kept costs within the original estimate and was keen to point out where we might improve on our original plan. You cannot expect a ‘rush job’ from John and his thorough and methodical approach to the task is reflected in the high quality finish that John expects of himself and provides to the customer. Always good humoured and friendly. We have used John before and will use him again as and when the need arises.

I cannot recommend John highly enough, his skills and workmanship are exceptional and his reliability and attention to detail second to none. His rates I considered to be very reasonable and I was enormously pleased with the work John did for me. He is knowledgeable about building works, friendly and easy to get on with and I would most certainly employ him again.

The work carried out by Wolstenbury Driveways for us, namely a summer house base and separate patio area, was more than satisfactory. The price was very competitive and customer relationship was excellent. We will not hesitate to use the company again in the future.
